President Casino and Harrahs See June Revenue Increase

The Missouri Gaming Commission reported on Monday that President Casino and Harrah's St. Louis Casino and Hotel located in Maryland Heights were the only two Missouri casinos located in the St. Louis area to gain revenue in June.

The President Casino registered the largest increase in revenue in June, raking in 10 percent more than the previous year's month. Its admissions however, has decline 4 percent from the same month last year. The President Casino reported a revenue of $5.8 million in June, up from $5.28 million at the same time last year. The admissions number declined slightly from 264,833 in June 2005 to 255,185 this year.

Harrah's on the other hand, registered an increase in revenue by 7 percent, up from $24.56 million last year to $26.35 in June of this year. The casino also reported that they too has a decline in admissions although at 1 percent, was much lower than the President Casino. Harrah's admission for June fell down from 791,748 in June 2005 to 784,754 this year.

The Ameristar Casino-St. Charles meanwhile reported a 4 percent admission decline to 759,292 for June from 794,250 in June last year. The casino's revenue dropped 1 percent to $24.31 million in June compared to $24.45 million in June 2005.
